An annual festival for families and children, this celebration includes lion dances, puppet shows, martial arts and demonstrations sharing the rich culture and history of Chinese New Year. The two week celebration culminates with traditional lantern viewing on February 28th. Throughout the festival, all visitors receive a red envelope, symbolizing good luck for the coming year.

Read a personal history by Hsiao-Ching Chou, published in the winter issue of Edible Portland, about the Chinese New Years that she has celebrated throughout her life.
