Rebecca Shelly, a Master of Fine Arts Candidate at PSU, will be giving away free vegetable starts as part of her thesis show which opens May 2nd.

Rebecca says, “I have started varieties that my father chose to grow for us in my youth. Many of these specific varieties were tried-and-true types that worked well year after year. The show will be a combination of paintings of his journals and an installation with organic and varied vegetable starts. My goal is to give away as many starts as I can create.”

Rebecca’s own version of the WW II-era Victory Garden poster is shown at right, and in the spring issue of Edible Portland.
