Breakfast Crepes à la Ben Davis

Don’t be intimidated; crepes are easy to make. They will taste as good as the eggs you use. Adapted from a recipe in Piper Davis and Ellen Jackson’s The Grand Central Baking Book, these crepes are a delightful way to begin your day.

“Wisdom of the Last Farmer”
Reading and book signing with David Mas Masumoto
Powell’s Books on Burnside

In Wisdom of the Last Farmer: Harvesting Legacies from the Land, David Mas Masumoto finds the natural connections between families and farming, fathers and children, booms and declines, and relates them to larger, more sweeping themes of life, death, and renewal.

Through Wisdom of the Last Farmer, we see how our own destinies are involved in the future of our food, the land and the farm.

David Mas Masumoto is the award-winning author of Epitaph for a Peach and several other books, popular columnist, spokesperson for organic farming, and a fellow at The Kellogg Foundation. A third-generation farmer, he grows certified organic peaches, nectarines, and grapes with his family on their 80-acre California farm.
