Nostrana and Slow Food Portland present Douglas Gayeton

On October 10th, do dinner at Nostrana. Artist and author Douglas Gayeton will present his new book, SLOW: Life in a Tuscan Town, and will be on hand to sign copies and discuss the book.

Chef Cathy Whims will prepare a special 3-course Tuscan meal, which will include a copy of SLOW. Some of Gayeton’s photographs will be on display in the restaurant, and diners will have the chance to purchase his book at a reduced price.

Gayeton’s work is beautiful: Seamless collages of photos blend with hand-written notes about the people, culture and food of Tuscany. With a forward by Carlo Petrini and another by Alice Waters, it is clear that Gayeton’s book reflects the values of Slow Food.
